I got the last of the known 2006 Saga #25 Anakin Skywalkers today, on a preorder from Casefresh.com. Amusing that the US carded version would be the last one I got.

Heroes and Villains
These two arrived today. They are the US carded Darth Vader (1 of 12) and Anakin Skywalker (2 of 12) Episode 3 Heroes and Villains. Even though these are rehashes, I do quite like them.
I have these two on preordered on Canadian cards from my mate at www.legendscanada.com.

I’ve just found what I’ll be buying in 2006:

- Darth Vader Titanium (maybe)
All of these look very exciting. People get excited about the holographic characters, but I don’t. I’m looking forward to the Padme figures. Where possible I’ll be scoring everything on Canadian cards. I might leave the European cards for a while unless they are significantly different instead of just being stickered.
New Animated series 2 DVD commemorative exclusive
This looks quite cute. I got the first set from Target a few months ago. For some reason people were under the impression that this was an Australian exclusive, so I got a few sets for people in the US. With the inflated Australian price and postage, they paid more than triple the price that they appeared for on the shelves the next week.
The Wish Power
I found this a while ago, but it’s pretty funny. It’s Revenge of the Sith with a Chinese soundtrack, but the subtitles have been translated back into English.
Here, Obi-Wan is saying “May the Force be with you” to his friend Anakin.
New Star Wars Toys
On April 2 I got up early and made my way to Toys R Us in Cannington. Going by the buzz on the forums, I thought there would be a lot of people there waiting for the doors to open to go get their new toys. Indeed, in the US/Cananda and a handful of TRU stores over east, they opened up at midnight the night before for what they called Midnight Madness.
As it happens, even though it was 8:30 am here in Perth I was still got to see the toys on sale before anyone in the US.
As it happens, I was the only one there. I thought for sure that there would be more people, but I must be the only Star Wars fan south of the river.
I got my Vader, Padme and one Anakin, but the other #28 Anakin was the only figure I could not find. Mind you I didn’t go through the list and check them all off but he was a notable absence.
I was still the only one in there when I checked out and left, about 20 mins later after checking out the other toys.
Celebration 3 Darth Vader
Oh I really must get one of these. This will be sold at the upcoming Celebration 3 shindig in the US this year, kinda like the old Jorg Sacul from the last one. This one looks very cool, and also has the cheesy ability to speak a few lines. I need to make a friend real fast on the message boards so he can get one for me and send it to me. This will probably be the new centrepice of my Darth Vader collection for a while.
The thing with the new packaging for the ROTS figures is that they may not fit into Star Cases. From the looks of this figure, it may. If all the ROTS figures are different to this then I might be outta luck.
Episode 3 Republic Trooper
OK, so the pics of the new Episode 3 Republic Trooper have been out for a while, but I haven’t seen this comparrison shot before courtesy of Galactic Hunter. I wondered how they would make the leap from the Clone Wars armour to the Empire armour, but this one looks quite good. The articulation on the actual figure is quite astounding, but what I am admiring here is the design. This guy looks quite manacing.
