Ashton’s first birthday

So, my daughter had her first birthday on Friday last week. Hard to believe that she is one whole year old. She has come so far in such a short time. I took the day off and we went to the zoo with the purpose of seeing the monkeys and the otters, only because I remember them as being really active and noisey and I thought that Ashton would like them. We must have arrive to early for the monkeys to want to play too much, because the ones we saw weren’t avtive at all. We did get to see the otters during feeding time, but Ashton liked the kangaroos most of all. She likes dogs, and I think she thought they were funny looking dogs. She also showed great amusement when she saw the elephants. She hasn’t seen anything that big before. In all we had a good day.

On Saturday we invited some friends around and gave Ashton a bit of a party. It was good too. She got some nice toys and books, and everyone had a good time.

I’ve also discovered another blogging site called textamerica.com, where you can send images from your phone via MMS or email to your own Mobile Blog, or Moblog. Nice idea. Too bad it’s called textAmerica, like there’s only one place in the world that matters. Mine is called hoover.textamerica.com, and I hope to add a picture or two every week.
